Canada Post Issues RMS Titanic Centennial Postage Stamps

Canada Post unveiled five stamps Tuesday to mark the centennial of the sinking of the RMS Titanic and the recovery of hundreds of victims by four Canadian ships.

Four domestic-rate stamps depict the White Star liner's impressive bow and stern.

Cherry Blossom Postage Stamps Honor Japan's Gift to U.S.

The U.S. Postal Service celebrates the friendship between America and Japan with the Cherry Blossom Centennial issuance.

That friendship found lasting expression a hundred years ago when the city of Tokyo gave 3,020 cherry trees to the city of Washington, D.C.

In this unusual design, two stamps form the left and right halves of a single, panoramic view of cherry trees blooming around the Tidal Basin in the nation’s capital.

Petition Calls for New Pluto Postage Stamp

More than 11,000 people have signed an online petition to honor NASA's mission to Pluto and other denizens of the solar system's icy rim with a commemorative U.S. postage stamp — which is a fine way to celebrate the 82nd anniversary of Pluto's planetary coming-out party.

Postage Stamp Honors Girl Scouts' 100th Anniversary

WASHINGTON — Monday, March 12, marks the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts.

To commemorate this milestone, the U.S. Postal Service will issue the First-Class Celebrate Scouting Forever Stamp this June as part of the Girl Scouts’ Rock the Mall celebration in Washington, DC.
